It’s everywhere – every website you click on, every profile you visit, even most emails you receive – social media is present. From “live-streaming” events to Twitter feeds on websites, most companies aren’t bashful about putting their social media marketing front and center.
Why? Because the United States (and the rest of the world) is going crazy for it. Our fair country alone has more participation with internet communication than almost any other, second only to Australia (by a difference of only 43 minutes per month). Nearly one half of Americans (age 12 or older) are a member of a social media network – that’s a lot of people. And those Americans are spending more and more time online as each year passes. In fact, their usage is up 82% from just last year, almost double.

The more social networks are created, the more opportunities people will have to participate with their friends, families, and especially… your brand. Utilizing this monumental time in social media is crucial. Taking the plunge into Twitter and Facebook (both of which, as you can see, are on the major rise over the last year) is extremely important!
